ALMOST ready for 48 hour book challenge

As I prepare to leave for my last day of school I am excited that I will soon be home and able to start reading for the 48 hour book challenge. I have stacked and restacked my books in an effort to prepare. About the time I think I have them in the order I want to read them I find another one that I add to the pile and then I switch the order around. I want to take time to write about them and add them as finished to my Goodreads shelves. It doesn't help that the mailman brought me three more books last night. I am obligated to go to school and take down a bulletin board I did (I must since it has the book cover to several of my books). I don't want to leave them up until the beginning of the new year. I have to have the media specialist sign off saying I have turned all equipment in and turn my keys in. I am hoping they will let me leave as soon as I have completed all of this so I can get home and start my challenge. My excuse so my family will leave me to read in peace is: I have surgery on Tuesday and I need the down time to relax and the best way to do that is to read. My mother, who lives with us, has told all of her friends that she will have to be quiet so I can read. She also tells them that the books I have to read over the summer is my homework so that I can prepare to tell my students about them when school starts. I realized how proud my mom was of me as a teacher when I overheard her tell one of her friends last week that I loved reading so much and sharing the books with EVERYONE to the point that I could probably teach a turtle to read. At least I hope that was a positive remark. I will be back on here later as soon as I can get home. In the meantime here is a list of the books I plan to read and no they are not in a particular order because I have tried that and I just keep changing them. And so the list begins and grows:
