Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden Burn the Rrrrump Rrrroast by Jennifer Kelman

Publisher:  DogEar Publishing
Genre:  Picture Book
Mrs. Pinkelmeyer is in the middle of putting a rump roast in the oven when the phone rings.  The woman on the other end has dialed a wrong number.  When Mrs. Pinkelmeyer asks about the young boy she hears crying in the background.  She is told it is the lady's nephew.  He is crying because he misses his parents.  Mrs. Pinkelmeyer asks to speak to young Henry.  As she begins to talk to him he begins to laugh at her accent.  She tells Henry about the trip she and her dog took to the butcher shop.  She continues the story.  As she tells him about giving Moopus a bath, Henry tells her about his bath time.  By the time she hangs up she has burnt her roast, yet is happy she was able to help.  This is a cute book and one I can't wait to read to my grand kids
