I love the work of Sheila Walsh. This DVD is based on her books. In the first video we find Gigi very excited. She has a message to share with her best friend Frances. She is trying to find the best way to tell her that she too is one of God’s little princesses. She thinks up elaborate ways to spread the message to Frances, such as sky writing and parades. In the end she throws a tea party for her best friend. She shares the message that all little girls were born God’s little princesses and he loves them all.

In the Pink Ballerina Gigi has her memory verse from Sunday School. The problem is she only has half of it and so she misinterprets its meaning. She tells Frances that they must learn to dance to make God happy. When things don’t go the way she thinks they should her daddy talks with her and shares the rest of the verse with her. She learns that she doesn’t have to dance to make God proud of her or to get his love. She just needs to praise him.

The video had several bonus features. It had four read along books, a sing along section, a how-to-draw Gigi or Lord Fluffy section and a trivia section. One of my favorites was the trailers to other videos. I can’t wait to purchase them for my grandkids. My problem is God has blessed me with seven wonderful little princesses that are spread all over the place and so sharing Gigi with them is difficult. Thank goodness for Christmas when they all get together.
