Student Saturday: Heaven - Angela Johnson

Student Saturdays are a way for me to showcase my student's book reviews.  Please be kind in your comments.  They are new at writing reviews.  Today's reviewer is Riley.

Fourteen-year-old Marley has lived in Heaven, Ohio since she was two years old.  When her mother found a postcard on a bench marked Heaven, Ohio.  Marley has always had a great life.  Her Uncle Jack had always sent her letters about hi and his dog, Boy on the road.  But Marley has accepted that  there was nothing to worry about.  Heaven was always a small town.  But, Marley only had two real friends Shoogy, a girl with a nice house but she didn't fit in.  And Bobby, a 17-year-old boy with a baby girl named Feather.  But Marley also had a family Mamam her mom, Papa her father and Butchy her brother.  When Marley finds out that Uncle Jack is actually her dad, her real mom died in a car accident, and she was adopted, her wold turns upside down.  My opinion of this book was that it was great because every page was a surprise.  I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and drama.  The reason I think I liked the book so much is because a girl I know was adopted.
