Angel Burn - L.A. Weatherly

Publisher: Candlewick
Pages: 464
Genre: YA, Fantasy
Source: I received a review galley from the publisher through NetGalley
This is not your typical heavenly angel type story.  In this book we find a group of “angels” that suck the life right out of the humans who worship them. Willow isw a sixteen year old who is half angel and the target of the Angel Killers.  When Alex is sent to kill her, he kidnaps her instead, hoping to sort everything out.  Of course we know they have to start having feelings for each other.  I’d like to say I enjoyed the book but I didn’t.  It isn’t because it is poorly written, because it is not.  I just had a hard time getting into the story line.  I guess it was because I had a problem seeing the angels being portrayed as something with an evil agenda.  I know there are many out there who will love the edgy feel of this type of book and so it is to them I would recommend this book, and the admit that for once I have found a book that just wasn’t my cup of tea.
